ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

September 26, 2006

Vice President Doyle Stout, acting as Chairman of the Meeting on behalf of AAP President Glendon Rowell, welcomed our members and guests to the AGM. AAP’s Honorary Chairman US Ambassador Kristie Kenney gave her inspiring remarks to the AAP board and members. She lauded AAP’s efforts in helping American citizens in distress in the Philippines.

The AGM meeting was also a venue to present the AAP’s committee reports for the past fiscal year. These reports highlighted the accomplishments and success stories of AAP as we continue to work for the general welfare of the American citizens, on the concept of community interest, welfare, and responsibility.

AAP Treasurer Frank Tockes presented his Treasurer’s Report which consisted of the Financial Statements for 11 months (ending August 31, 2006) and Financial Statements audited by AAP’s external auditors Isla Lipana.

AAP’s Past President Robert Lane presented the Social Welfare Committee highlights and success stories, on behalf of the SWC Chair Rolf Beutel. Vice President and Events Committee Chair Sandra Tockes highlighted the success of the patriotic events organized by the AAP: George Washington Birthnight Ball, Memorial Day and 4th of July US Independence Day Celebration.
In his report on the American Historical Collection Committee, AHC Committee Chair Doyle Stout also presented to the members and guests the AHC Librarian from Ateneo de Manila University, Ms. Waldette Cueto. In his report on the American Historical Collection Committee, AHC Committee Chair Doyle Stout also presented to the members and guests the AHC Librarian from Ateneo de Manila University, Ms. Waldette Cueto. Membership Committee Chair Reynaldo de Jesus reported an increased number of members (for individual and corporate member) for this year, a good indicator that AAP is indeed on the right track.
