The Beneficiaries’ Christmas Party had a good turn out, though the space is quite small. It was participated by 22 families (58 individuals) from Manila, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo, Bulacan, Pampanga and Tarlac. Kids and parents alike enjoyed the celebration. AAP’s long time beneficiaries remarked that this year’s party is entirely different from the previous years. Each family was given a basket of groceries estimated to be worth P1,500 to P2,000; transportation allowance, P1,200 cash for their rice certificate and individual gifts for 27 children. 8 families were first-timers, and we had a lot of kids this year.
A short program showcasing the talents of some AAP beneficiaries was held. A prize was given to Stephanie Latina and Michael Fortes, students from Olongapo City, for winning Best Talent with their duet song number.
The board members present were: SWC Chair Will Feuerstein, outgoing SWC Chair Rolf Beutel, Robert Lane and Frank Holz. They did the interview with the beneficiary families and graciously gave advises and encouragement to the beneficiaries. They will come up with their own recommendations for each family,
After the interview, everyone enjoyed the food donated by the Manila Pavilion, Makati City Renaissance Hotel, Shakey’s Pizza and Manila Elks. Drinks were provided by Coca-Cola Far East Ltd.
