Your Membership Committee started out with the objective of gaining more new Patrons and Sponsors; their dues as you know help the association fund its many social welfare projects. Currently, however, in addition to our efforts to increase membership, we are focusing on making available to us all more benefits of membership.
We now publish the new and improved Yankee Doodles, our quarterly newsletter. We have completed production of the AAP Video and have included it in our website as well as in "YouTUBE," which is produced and aired by Mike Cohen of Fox News Service. We started participating in the Elks bi-monthly Member/Guest Cocktails, which may be enjoyed by our members and their guests who may be interested to join the Elks Club or both the Elks and AAP. We will shortly start hosting our own AAP quarterly Patron/Sponsor Cocktails, to which we encourage everyone to bring along a prospective Patron or Sponsor.
Also very early in the new year, we will host a Reception and Tour of the American Historical Collection at the Ateneo's Rizal Library, where we hopefully will see a good number of our Patrons and Sponsors and their guests who may be encouraged to join AAP. Separately we plan to host another Reception and Tour of the American Historical Collection, this time exclusively for the American Women's Club of the Philippines. Hopefully they will bring along their friends who may be equally encouraged to join AAP.
Needless to say, all of these activities, which are in addition to our regular events like the July 4th Picnic, the George Washington Ball, the Memorial Day Celebration and the Annual General Membership Meeting, are envisioned not only to add to the roster of AAP Patrons/Sponsors but also to make available fun and informative activities to allow members to participate and get to know one another better. And we hope you will find the time to come.
