The AAP held the farewell party for AHC Follow-up Committee Chair, Mrs. Renee Speltz at the American Historical Collection, Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila. Mrs. Speltz expressed her thanks to the Ateneo Manila University - headed by its President, Fr. Bienvenido Nebres SJ - for their support to the AAP in housing the Collection. AAP is also thankful to the US Embassy for their support in the cause of maintaining the "unique and priceless", and exceedingly rich, collection of reference materials pertaining primarily to (but not exclusively to) the American era in the history of the Philippines - from 1898 to 1946.

Attendees were: Representatives from the US Embassy: Counselor for Public Affairs Lee Mc Clenny, Phil Chasse and Charles Lutz. Ateneo President Fr. Nebres, Fr. Jose Cruz, Lourdes David, Josefina Hofilena, Christopher Peabody, Waldette Cueto and Fr. Thomas Steinbugler were also in attendance. The AAP was represented by a number of its Board members and AHC committee members: Glendon Rowell, Doyle Stout, Leslie Murray, Robert Lane, Reynaldo de Jesus, Thomas Hoese, Joan Orendain, and Shirly Fajarito.
